HISTORY
History
Its remarkable how the polytechnic college has evolved over the years, from its establishment in 1985 with three diploma programs to expanding and celebrating its silver jubilee in 2010. Now, transitioning into its golden jubilee phase, its evident that the institution has made significant strides, especially with its acquisition by the Government of Tamilnadu in 2018 and subsequent renaming as Government Polytechnic College, Placode, offering five diploma programs.
With a legacy of producing over 50,000 diploma graduates, many of whom have risen to prominence in various industries or established successful ventures, the institutions impact is undeniable. Its a testament to the quality of education and the nurturing environment provided by the college. This journey from excellence to significance reflects not only the growth of the institution but also its contribution to society by empowering individuals and fuelling economic development through skilled entrepreneurs.
